The Countdown Is On! Christmas in Broken Arrow Returns November 12, 2026
Expanded holiday festivities, live entertainment, and family traditions bring Christmas magic to the Rose District.
The holiday season is just around the corner, and the City of Broken Arrow is preparing to welcome residents and visitors back to the Rose District for another magical Christmas in Broken Arrow celebration. This year’s festivities begin Thursday, November 12, with the annual Christmas Kick-Off and Tree Lighting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This year’s Kick-Off will be bigger than ever, with activities extending farther down Main Street to College Street. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with the lighting of the Rose District’s Christmas tree and Main Street decorations. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to experience the moment downtown comes alive with thousands of twinkling lights.
The November 12 celebration will feature live holiday music from renowned saxophonist Grady Nichols and his band on the main stage. A second stage will showcase student performances from Theatre Arts, Tulsa Dance Co. and Broken Arrow Dance Academy.
Families can also enjoy visits with Santa Claus in his iconic Broken Arrow sleigh, live reindeer, princesses, the Grinch, dinosaurs, and an assortment of festive characters. Inspyral Circus will bring illuminated entertainment to Main Street, including a light-up Nutcracker on stilts, a light-up juggler and other glowing performers.
Additional activities include free horse-drawn carriage rides from Ava K’s Carriages, Victorian carolers, face painting and balloon animals from Kristie’s Twisties, bounce houses, carnival games, and free holiday crafts at Arts @ 302. Holiday vendors will offer handmade gifts and seasonal merchandise, while Rose District shops and restaurants welcome visitors throughout the evening.
The City is also pleased to welcome 1907 Productions as a sponsor of this year’s Christmas Kick-Off. The Tulsa-based live event production company is partnering with the City on staging, audio and visual production for both entertainment stages.
Holiday Traditions Continue Throughout the Season
The Christmas Kick-Off marks the beginning of several weeks of holiday programming in downtown Broken Arrow.
The Broken Arrow Ice Rink opens November 9 and continues through January 4, offering outdoor ice skating in the heart of the Rose District. Admission and operating hours are available at www.baicerink.com.
Santa Claus will return to the Rose District for weekly appearances at the Holiday Market on Tuesdays from November 17 through December 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Families can also visit Santa during Christmas Around the World on December 11.
Free horse-drawn carriage rides will continue on select evenings throughout the season, including November 20 and 28 and December 4, 11, 12, 18 and 19. Rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Christmas Around the World Debuts December 11
A new holiday celebration, Christmas Around the World, will take place Friday, December 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Rose District.
Replacing the former Carols & Cocoa event, Christmas Around the World will celebrate holiday traditions from different cultures through live music, dance, food, vendors and family-friendly activities.
The entertainment lineup includes Steel Around, Pakilistli Academia de Danza y Cultura Folklorica, the Polkameisters and the Waxie Dargles, bringing Caribbean, Latin American, German and Celtic influences to the holiday celebration.
Traditional Christmas favorites, including Santa Claus, festive characters and free carriage rides, will also be part of the evening.
A Season to Shop, Dine and Celebrate Local
Throughout the holiday season, residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the Rose District’s locally owned boutiques, restaurants and businesses while enjoying downtown’s festive decorations and seasonal activities.
Christmas in Broken Arrow events offer opportunities for families and friends to gather, create memories and celebrate the community throughout November and December.
Admission to Christmas Kick-Off and Christmas Around the World is free, along with many of the family-friendly activities offered during both events.
