Tulsa City-County Library Breaks Ground on New William K. and Natalie O. Warren Library in South Broken Arrow
Fourth MY Library, OUR Future building project marks major milestone in expanding library access across Tulsa County

Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) broke ground on the new William K. and Natalie O. Warren Library in South Broken Arrow, the fourth library to be built through TCCL’s MY Library, OUR Future Capital Campaign.
“Today represents more than the beginning of construction on a new library. It’s another step toward ensuring that every community we serve has access to the spaces, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive,” said Kimberly Johnson, CEO of Tulsa City-County Library. “Let today be a celebration of how far we’ve come and an opportunity to look ahead to the extraordinary possibilities this new library will create.”
Amenities
The new William K. and Natalie O. Warren Library will be 20,000 square feet—more than triple the size of the existing South Broken Arrow Library. The branch will include a drive-up service window, an adult patio and a maker space. There will also be an outdoor children’s amphitheater. The new location will include collaboration spaces, flexible classroom spaces, and a dedicated storytime room. Additionally, the collection size will increase by 40%, a significant boost for one of TCCL’s busiest branches.
Donors and community
Located at 2345 W. New Orleans Street, the new library will be built on land generously donated by The William K. Warren Foundation.
“A healthy community also needs a vibrant mind,” said John-Kelly Warren, CEO of The William K. Warren Foundation. “On behalf of my entire family, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to this wonderful community. Thank you for your unwavering support and thank you for your vision. You saw what this land could become – not just a building or brick-and-mortar – but a cornerstone of opportunity.”
The project is made possible through a public/private partnership, and represents a unique collaboration between Tulsa City-County Library and the City of Broken Arrow, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding access to educational resources and public spaces for residents.
“I want to give a huge thank you to our citizens,” said Broken Arrow Mayor Debra Wimpee. “When they went to the polls and overwhelmingly supported our 2026 GO Bond package, they weren’t just voting for buildings and infrastructure. They were investing in the future of Broken Arrow, and this new library is a wonderful example of that investment.”
MY Library, OUR Future
TCCL’s MY Library, OUR Future Capital Campaign launched to replace four of the heavily used library branches in Tulsa County. The campaign also includes the new Bronson Brookside Library, opened in 2025; the new Rudisill Regional Library, opened in October 2026; and the Eddy Gibbs Library in Owasso, currently under construction.
The new Warren Library was designed by Ethos Architects and will be built by Crossland Construction. The grand opening is anticipated for 2028.
