11 Weeks—How long can I wear maternity clothes post baby?

I really don’t want to hear the answer to that question, but I have a feeling that I’m starting to wear out my welcome. I attempted to put on some pre-baby jeans this weekend, and after 2 attempts, quickly put them away. With the sun shining for the first time in what seems to be the longest winter of my life, putting on shorts (and eventually a bathing suit–CRINGE) is inevitable. I suppose it is time to stop eating for two.

Up until the last couple of weeks, weight has been coming off pretty consistently. With breastfeeding and holding a baby 24/7, food was pretty low on my list of priorities. Now that the baby is sleeping more and is a little more independent I’m usually able to sit down for at least one meal a day. I guess that meal can no longer be mac and cheese. In addition, I have my 10 year class reunion coming up in July. So not only do I need to lose the baby weight, I need to lose the “freshman 15 (or 20)” that I accumulated in college.

So it’s time to get motivated. We purchased a running stroller at a garage sale, and the weather is making a turn. I’ve done Weight Watchers in the past with some success, but finding the time for the meetings could be tough. Journaling always seems to help…again I’d rather be sleeping. I said time to get motivated, not that I’m motivated.
