So You Want to Save Money?
Find 3 Ways to Save Money Without Coupons.
I’m Sarah Roe, founder of MoneySavingQueen.com. I have spent the last 7 years teaching families how to save money on everything from groceries to vacations. When I ask families how they save money at the grocery store, most reply “coupons.” While coupons are great way to save money, they certainly are not the only way to save money.
Today, I’m going to share with you 3 different ways you can save money at the without ever clipping a coupon. Yep, you heard me right, put the scissors down and check out these methods that will revolutionize how you shop!
3 Ways to Save Money Without Coupons
- Shop the Sales Flyers: Did you know the best deals at the grocery store are located on the front and back pages of your sales flyer? All you have to do is plan your weekly menu around what is on sale and you’ll save 30-50% without ever clipping a coupon.
- Shop Around: Most of us get stuck in a rut when it comes to grocery shopping. We tend to visit the same store every week simply out of convenience and/or habit. I’m going to challenge you to change stores. Check out the sales flyers and shop at the grocery store with the best deals for that week. So called “extreme couponing” would tell you to shop at 5 stores or more a week for the best deals but you’ll end up blowing your savings in gas. I suggest picking the best store of the week and you’ll still save quite a bit of money.
- Shop Amazon: Seriously. I buy a ton of organic and specialty foods for our food allergy family and many of them come via Amazon. They sell products in bulk, at discount and even offer coupons! Simply add your favorite products to your cart and check back often for discounts, when the price gets low enough, checkout! Of course, you can score free shipping with a Prime membership but most items ship free when you purchase $25 or more.
While I’m a huge supporter of coupons, if you don’t have the time to clip, you can still save money using these tips. Living a frugal lifestyle isn’t difficult, be sure to check out MoneySavingQueen.com for more tips on how to enjoy life on a budget!
