Tulsa Zoo to Host Tulsa’s Largest Touch-A-Truck
Sunday, May 17, 12-4 p.m.

On Sunday, May 17, Tulsa Zoo will host Tulsa’s largest Touch-A-Truck, thanks to support from community partner QuikTrip. The free event is in honor of National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week and will take place from noon to 4 p.m., near the west gate entrance of the Tulsa Zoo.
“We’re excited to celebrate those who work daily to ensure our community is healthy, safe and connected with valuable resources,” said Tulsa Zoo Vice President of Guest Services Pat Weisz. “Plus, allowing families the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles up close is a meaningful way to inspire curiosity, spark appreciation and create connections that strengthen our community.”
The event will bring together more than 30 local partners, including first responders, healthcare organizations and community nonprofits. Guests of all ages can explore a variety of emergency vehicles up close, including a Life Flight helicopter, meet the teams who protect and serve our community and visit interactive booths offering safety education, health resources and family activities.
“Events like this bring the community and EMS professionals together in a way that’s both meaningful and memorable,” said EMSA CEO Johna Easley. “EMS Week recognizes the commitment our providers have to serve others, and opportunities like Tulsa’s Largest Touch‑A‑Truck help children interact with the EMSA medics and resources dedicated to keeping our community safe in a safe and calm environment.”
“Paramedics, EMTs, and other first responders are critical to the health and safety of the communities we serve,” said QuikTrip Corporate Communications Manager Aisha Jefferson. “At QuikTrip, we are grateful for the work they do every day, and we are proud to support this event to recognize and celebrate those who dedicate their lives to care for others.”
