New Rudisill Regional Library Opens in Historic Greenwood

Rudisill Regional Library

The new Rudisill Regional Library opened Oct. 3 in Tulsa’s Historic Greenwood District, welcoming families to a 33,000-square-foot space designed for learning, creativity and community connection.

One of the highlights is the expanded children’s area, which has doubled in size and offers plenty of room for little ones to explore, play and discover the joy of reading. Young visitors can curl up with a book in a kid-sized car or explore hands-on toys and tactile activities that encourage sensory play. The children’s area also opens to a secure outdoor play space, a unique feature within the Tulsa City-County Library system, complete with a playhouse and opportunities for imaginative play.

Other highlights include the Jeanne B. Goodwin Storytime Room, a Maker Space with a recording studio and musical instruments, and an expanded African American Resource Center, the only one of its kind in Oklahoma.
