Holland Hall Announces New Head of School

After a nationwide search, the Holland Hall Board of Trustees announced Brent Kaneft as the 16th Head of School on Friday, Sept. 25. He will start July 1, 2027.

Kaneft replaces JP Culley, who joined Holland Hall in 2013, and is the longest-serving Head of School in Holland Hall history.

Kaneft most recently served as Head of School at Wilson Hall, a PK3-12 independent school in Sumter, South Carolina. Before joining Wilson Hall, Kaneft spent 12 years as an English teacher and department chair at Christ School in Asheville, North Carolina, and later served as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Park Tudor School in Indianapolis. He continues teaching AP Literature today.

Since becoming Head of School at Wilson Hall, Kaneft has overseen record enrollment, campus expansion and major capital projects, in addition to expanding his faculty’s understanding and use of the latest Mind, Brain and Education research.
