Free Events for Tulsa Families
Tulsa is full of things to do with your family. And some are made even sweeter because the price is right. While many events, such as movies in the park and concerts at Guthrie Green, are seasonal, there are a few that you can count on to last year round. Here are a few to put on your calendar into perpetuity.

First Fridays at the Tulsa Arts District (Every First Friday)
Head downtown to the Tulsa Arts District from 6-9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month to receive free admission at Tulsa Arts District museums and galleries, extended shopping hours and other family friendly programming. Also, don’t forget that Philbrook Museum of Art (2727 S. Rockford Rd.) offers free admission during First Friday, too! Learn more at www.thetulsaartsdistrict.org.
First Saturday at Tulsa Historical Society & Museum (Every First Saturday)
Starting in 2019, Tulsa Historical Society & Museum is offering free admission and special activities on the first Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (latest admission is 3:30 p.m.). Learn more about current exhibits at www.tulsahistory.org.
STEM Saturday at Gathering Place (Every 1st Saturday through Nov. 2, 2019)
Families can enjoy STEM Activities on the first Saturday of each month, 12-3 p.m., in the ONEOK Boathouse at Gathering Place! Here is the schedule. Find other free events at Gathering Place at gatheringplace.org/events:
Funday Sunday at Gilcrease (Every 3rd Sunday)
It’s an afternoon of museum fun for the whole family. Visitors will enjoy different art making stations in the museum, each offering different materials and themes as well as teaching artists to help guide and inspire. An art hunt is available to explore in the galleries, with a prize at the end. Families will also enjoy our interactive spaces, the Kids Site and the Kravis Discovery Center, as well as the different galleries and gardens, and special featured activities. For families with children ages 3-15, who must be accompanied by an adult. Find out more here.
Will Rogers Memorial Museum Open House (Every 2nd Thursday, 5-8 p.m.)
Get free admission to the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, (1720 W. Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore) on the second Thursday of each month. “The Will Rogers Memorial Museum houses the world’s largest collection of Will Rogers memorabilia and his entire collection of writings” in addition to the burial site of Will Rogers and several close family members.
