Celebrate childhood literacy with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

May 16 Dpil Graduation Hrl

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Tulsa City-County Library is celebrating graduates of the program with a party on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Connor’s Cove at Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St. This free celebration will feature a bilingual storytime, crafts, a photo booth and more.

Graduates of the program will receive a certificate at one of two ceremonies, taking place at either 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Space is limited, so registration for this program is strongly encouraged. Families are invited to explore tables hosted by community organizations and nonprofits between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. These organizations focus on supporting families as their child moves to the next phase of their literacy journey.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Tulsa City-County Library was launched in 2023 to inspire a love of reading and learning in children. Children enrolled in the Imagination Library receive a free, age-appropriate book every month until their fifth birthday. To learn more and enroll, visit www.tulsalibrary.org/imagination-library.

The Imagination Library of Tulsa City-County Library is paid for through a partnership with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness and private funding through the Birth through Eight Strategy for Tulsa, an initiative of George Kaiser Family Foundation.
