Tulsa Public Schools’ Winter Break is December 23, 2024-Jan. 6, 2025. Here are 20 events and activities for Tulsa families to enjoy over the break!

1. Coca-Cola Classic Christmas

  • When: Nov. 22-Dec. 29, (book tickets online)
  • Where: Remington Park, 1 Remington Pl., Oklahoma City

This immersive holiday experience in Oklahoma City features an incredible light display, an ice skating rink, carolers, snow slides, carolers and more!

2. Jolly Lane Lights

  • When: Nov. 22-Jan. 1; Monday-Thursday, 5:30-10 p.m.; Friday-Sunday, 5:30-10:30 p.m.
  • Where: Admiral Twin Drive-In, 7355 E. Easton St.

Jolly Lane Lights is a one-mile drive-through Christmas light display synced to music! $1 from each ticket goes to charity. Tickets start at $25 per vehicle; VIP experiences available.

3. Garden of Lights at Tulsa Botanic Garden

  • When: Nov. 29-Dec. 1, Dec. 5-8, Dec. 12-23, Dec. 26-30, 5- 9 p.m.
  • Where: Tulsa Botanic Garden, 3900 Tulsa Botanic Dr.

Reconnect with family and friends in the garden illuminated with colorful lights. Make s’mores over fire pits, enjoy holiday music and take in the spirit of the season in our magical garden escape. Timed entry tickets are required. Reserve your tickets here.

4. Route 66 Christmas Chute

  • When: November 14-December 31
  • Where: Downtown Sapulpa

Ooh and aah over the brilliantly decorated canopies lining the streets of downtown Sapulpa.

5. Garden of Lights at Honor Heights Park

  • When: Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day
  • Where: Honor Heights Park, 1400 Honor Heights Dr., Muskogee

The beautiful Honor Heights Park comes alive with lights in the evenings. From Thanksgiving through New Years Day, visitors can enjoy a stunning drive through a holiday delight. The drive-through display includes over 1.2 million shimmering lights, enhancing the natural beauty of the park’s gardens, waterfalls and ponds with holiday displays the whole family will love. muskogeeparks.org

6. Visit Tulsa Zoo!

  • When: Ongoing (Closed Christmas Day)
  • Where: Tulsa Zoo, 6421 E. 36th St. N.

Tulsa Zoo is always worth a visit! And with several indoor buildings, even if the weather is a little frosty, you can stay nice and warm.

7. Arvest Winterfest

  • Where: BOK Center, 200 S. Denver Ave.

Enjoy skating beneath the Tulsa skyline and other festive fun!

8. BA Ice Rink

  • When: November 8, 2024 – January 6, 2025 (See website for schedule)
  • Where: Broken Arrow Rose District

9 Skate at WeStreet Ice Center

  • When: Daily, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. (See website or social media for holiday schedule)
  • Where: WeStreet Ice Center, 4143 S. Yale Ave.

WeStreet Ice Center will be hosting public skating all day through January 11. Follow them on social media for details about special events!

10. Visit Discovery Lab

  • When: Ongoing

11. Cheer for the Tulsa Oilers

  • When: Dec. 20, 7:05 p.m.; Dec. 22, 3:05 p.m.
  • Where: BOK Center, 200 S. Denver Ave.

12. Visit the Library

14. Philbrook Festival

  • When: Select nights, Nov. 29-Dec. 28, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
  • Where: Philbrook Museum, 2727 S. Rockford Rd.

Philbrook Festival returns with all of your favorites: thousands of holiday lights and a spectacular musical light show, holiday shopping, the LEGO Village, visits with Santa, and more. Festival Nights are special ticketed event nights and require advance, timed tickets.

15. Magical Lights Adventure

  • When: Nov. 22-Dec. 30; Sunday-Thursday, 5:30-10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 5:30-10:30 p.m.
  • Where: Tulsa Raceway Park, 3101 N. Garnett Rd.

Magical Lights Adventure is a music-synced Christmas light drive-thru show, where you pay per vehicle, load up your entire family or friends, and drive through a mile-long path filled with giant tunnels, candy land, and many themed sections with all of your favorite Christmas characters. $20 per vehicle magicallightsadventure.com

16. Depot Green Christmas Train

  • When: Departs at 5:30 p.m. every Thursday-Sunday, Dec. 5-29. Train rides last about 8 minutes, and the train departs every 15 minutes
  • Where: Depot Green, 205 Elgin St., Muskogee

This festive train welcomes all ages out to enjoy a short ride through the Depot Green area where you can gaze at twinkling stars and holiday lights. Hot chocolate, popcorn and sweet treats will be available for purchase.

17. Kwanzaa: Exploring Self Through History and Community

  • When:Dec. 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Where: Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford Ave.

Join the African American Resource Center for a night of music, food, crafts and community building as we celebrate Kwanzaa! Enjoy a sit-down meal and activities to explore the principles of Kwanzaa. Since the event will be catered, registration is encouraged so that we will know how many people to expect. Register at tulsalibrary.org/events or call 918-549-7323. For all ages.

18. Saturday Tiny Tots

  • When: Saturdays, 9-11 a.m.
  • Where: Wheels and Thrills, 10637 N. Garnett Rd., Owasso

Kids ages 6 and under are invited to skate, play, ride and jump with their favorite characters!

19. Temple Israel’s Seventh Night of Chanukkah Lighting

  • When: Dec. 31, 5 p.m.
  • Where: Temple Israel, 2004 E. 22nd Pl.

The community is invited to join us for music, donuts,  hot cocoa and music. We will gather on our lawn to sing songs and share the story of Chanukkah while we light the Chanukkiah for the seventh night.  This event is for all ages and is free of charge.

20. Noon Year’s Eve at Discovery Lab

  • When: Dec. 31, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Where: Discovery Lab, 3123 S. Riverside Dr.
