Today, Science Museum Oklahoma and Mattel, Inc. announced that Barbie™ You Can be Anything™: The Experience is coming to the museum to inspire kids to imagine their future through play. By exploring activities they enjoy – such as creating, nurturing, solving problems, leading and being adventurous – kids can then discover which professions fit those skill sets. As the original female empowerment brand, Barbie has long empowered girls to help unlock their limitless potential and believe they can be anything. This exhibit brings that mission to life by helping kids explore their limitless possibilities.

Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience opens June 6, 2026, and will stay at Science Museum Oklahoma through the summer. It is included in general admission to the museum.

“Barbie encourages the kind of imaginative play that teaches us that no matter our gender, ethnicity or background, we can make the world a better place by doing work that excites us, challenges us, and brings us fulfillment,” said Jennifer Pace Robinson, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

“Seeing yourself reflected in science and innovation can shape the way you think about your future,” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. “Exhibits like Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience help young people, especially girls, connect curiosity with confidence and can open the door to possibilities that could stay with them for a lifetime.”

In this career-inspiring experience, children and adults alike will discover the stories of real-life women who broke barriers in their fields, and the people who supported them along their journey. After learning about the achievements of these trailblazers, visitors can get an up-close look at Barbie dolls created in their likeness. The exhibit encourages visitors of all generations to reflect on the challenges and accomplishments of these memorable women, as well as their own life experiences, and continue the inspiration through imaginative role play with Barbie.

Over the past 65+ years, Barbie has represented more than 250 careers, inspiring generations to dream big. This exhibit offers kids the opportunity to explore the vast range of careers as well as what role type best fits their own interests and aspirations.
