According to Midwest Model Railroad, trains and Christmas have a long-standing historical connection. In the 1880s, the Pennsylvania Railroad offered a “Christmas Tree Special,” where families could ride a decorated train on their way to cut a Christmas tree. And of course, books like “The Polar Express” have helped cement the idea of Christmas trains in the public mind. Christmas trains offer a dose of nostalgia and the ultimate holiday experience. Here are some Christmas trains in Oklahoma.
