Free Shipping Day! Yay!

Hey, all. I haven’t blogged in awhile. I don’t know, I guess I’ve been too busy, maybe in a funk, but now I really have something to say — Free Shipping Day is this Thursday, Dec. 17!

That’s right. For my fellow procrastinators out there, you can choose from almost 500 merchants who will ship free, or almost free, this Thurs. on December 17.

Here’s how it works. Go to www.freeshipping.org and search the many stores that are signed up. There are plenty of choices from Target to GAP (two of my personal faves) to Toys R Us, Adidas and Coldwater Creek. Obviously, I can’t list them all here.

Just visit the site and you’ll see how it works. Some of the retailers have restrictions. For example, they may require that you spend a certain amount of money like $75 in order to take advantage of the free shipping. Or they may have discounted shipping instead of free. But, who doesn’t want a deal, right? Also, if you search around, some of the merchants are offering money-saving coupons.

Oh, and did I tell you that they guarantee that your package will reach its destination by Christmas Eve? I know, isn’t that great?

So, if you have some last minute shopping to do, wait until Thurs., hop online and go to www.freeshipping.org.

Merry Christmas!
Betty

P.S. If you’re finished shopping and you’re dying to do some more, or if you’re still out there shopping for friends and family, consider “adopting” a teenager from Youth Services of Tulsa (www.yst.org). You can go on the web site and find out how to do it, but hurry because the presents are due over at Youth Services on Thurs., Dec. 17. I “adopted” a 19-year-old girl and all she asked for was a Border’s gift certificate, bras and underwear.
