Alicia Kobilnyk
TulsaKids' Babies & Toddlers Columnist
Alicia Kobilnyk began speaking full sentences at eighteen months of age and has not stopped telling stories since. At an early age, she fell in love with the written word and began to explore how stories strengthen and connect people across all manner of division. Though her childhood dream of becoming the next Dr. Jane Goodall has not come to fruition, she has found herself, over and over again, flourishing in the company of young children as a friend, guide and caregiver.
Through a wild series of twists and turns, she found herself a place in the classroom, educating infants and toddlers and loving every moment of it. Her advocacy for the worth and wonder of young children does not end with her days in early childhood education, but extends to her private life as a mother as well.
Through her writing in the Babies and Toddlers column for TulsaKids, she hopes to inspire others to appreciate the amazing development common to all children while also respecting the unique gifts of each tiny human.
