1. Her-story Hike
- When: March 2-8, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Where: Ray Harral Nature Center, 7101 S. 3rd St., BA
Celebrate Women’s History Month at Ray Harral Nature Park! This engaging event highlights the incredible contributions of women, both past and present, who have shaped wildlife conservation efforts around the globe.
As you walk along the scenic trail, stop at informative stations to learn fun facts and inspiring stories about these remarkable women and their work to protect our planet.
2. “Big Bad”
- When: March 6, 7-8:30 p.m.; March 7-8 2-3:30 p.m.
- Where: Spotlight Theater, 1381 Riverside Dr.
The most notorious criminal in the fairy-tale world, Big Bad Wolf, is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by the countless quirky characters he has wronged. Now, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest — the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother — will clash in a trial that will be remembered forever after. Presented by Spotlight Children’s Theatre.
3. Patsy Cline – A Tribute to the Queen of Country
- When: March 6, 7 p.m.
- Where: Will Rogers Memorial Museum, 1720 Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore
Performed by the multi-talented Elizabeth, this tribute captures the soul and powerhouse vocals of country music’s most iconic leading lady. Elizabeth is joined on stage by her husband, Buck, providing masterful guitar accompaniment and rich harmony vocals.
While Elizabeth and Buck are widely known for their beloved children’s performances and ventriloquism, this special event will entertain children of all ages. It’s a night for fans of classic country to sit back and enjoy old-time hits in a beautiful, historic setting. $10 per person
4. Saturday Morning Birding
- When: March 7, 8-9:45 a.m.
- Where: Oxley Nature Center, 6700 Mohawk Blvd.
Join Oxley for their Saturday morning birding walk. All skill levels welcome. Meet in the parking lot. Bring binoculars if you have them. Free!
5. American Indian Festival of Words: Family Fun With Muscogee Nation’s Tribal TANF
- When: March 7, 9-10:30 a.m.
- Where: Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St.
Kids, come and have lots of crafty fun in the main lobby with Muscogee Nation’s Tribal TANF! For preschoolers and elementary schoolers.
6. Southwood Strawberry Festival
- When: March 6-8, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Where: Southwood Landscape and Garden Center, 9025 S. Lewis Ave.
Celebrate the arrival of Southwood’s widest selection of strawberry varieties yet, and enjoy family friendly activities all weekend long! Plus, on Saturday, March 7, they will have a whole crop of vendors with jams, pastries, cookies, sourdough, short cakes, ice cream, local honey and more, as well as live music and strawberry info sessions.
7. DrillersFest
- When: March 7, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Where: ONEOK Field, 201 N. Elgin Ave.
The Tulsa World DrillersFest will provide fans the opportunity to purchase season memberships or individual tickets for any game this season, including Opening Night. There will also be a variety of family-friendly fun, including photos with Hornsby and Oily, free face painting and balloon art, and more.
8. Maker Space: Tinker Saturday
- When: March 7, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Where: Central Library, 400 Civic Center
Experience the joy of tinkering in the Maker Space as a family. Explore cutting-edge tech, experiment with materials and create something unique you can take home.
9. Route 66 to Hollywood
- When: March 7, 7:30 p.m.
- Where: VanTrease PACE, 10300 E. 81st St.
This Signature Symphony concert features music from Titanic, Far and Away, Mission: Impossible, Casablanca, and much more. Plus, rising superstar violinist Maya Anjali Buchanan will join Signature Symphony for Erich Korngold’s cinematic Violin Concerto!
10. Sensory-Friendly Family Hours
- When: March 8, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
- Where: Discovery Lab, 3123 Riverside Dr.
These early hours are designed for families with children on the spectrum and other sensory needs. Lights are dimmed and exhibit sounds are turned down.
