Halloween brings out the kid in all of us, from debates along the lines of “What is the best/worst Halloween candy,” to curling up with a spine-tingling book or movie, hoping for a genuine scare. To help you make the most of this sensational season, we’ve provided the following roundup of family friendly Halloween events in Tulsa!

Trick or Treat Events

BOOtanical Bands & Blooms

  • When: Thursdays in October, 5-8 p.m.
  • Where: Tulsa Botanic Garden, 3900 Tulsa Botanic Dr.

Wander lighted pathways, visit BOOtanical booths that mix fun with learning—including hands-on games and activities about monarch butterflies and other cool insects (yes, even Maggot Painting!)—plus meet costumed characters and collect plenty of treats along the way. Don’t forget your costume!

HallowZOOeen

  • When: October 17-18, 24-25, 6-9 p.m.; Oct. 19, 25-26, 2-5 p.m.
  • Where: Tulsa Zoo, 6421 E. 36th St. N.

HallowZOOeen presented by Oklahoma Central Credit Union includes Goblin Stops where kids can pick up treats, carnival games at the Insurica Pumpkin Patch, special themed activities at the Burger King Royal Castle and QuikTrip Pirate Island as well as Bank of Oklahoma Haunted Train rides around the zoo. HallowMarine

  • When: Oct. 17-18, 2-5 p.m.; Oct. 24, 25 and 31, 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Where: Oklahoma Aquarium, 300 Aquarium Dr., Jenks

FALLOWEEN Family Fest

  • When: Oct. 17, 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: Case Community Center, 1050 W. Wewika Rd., Sand Springs

Enjoy an unforgettable evening packed with games, inflatables, tons of candy, a costume contest and so much more! Plus, the Astronomy Club of Tulsa will be there with their telescopes to explore the spooky October skies! Free, all ages welcome.


Brookside BooHaHa

  • When: October 18, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Where: Brookside, Peoria between 31st and 41st

Trick or treat along Peoria and play in the Kids Zones before the popular BooHaHa parade.

PhilBOO

  • When: Oct. 24-26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Philbrook Museum, 2727 S. Rockford Rd.

Bring your little ghoulies and goblins to a frightfully fun weekend just for families. Trick ART Treat around the gardens, make art inspired by the spookiest of seasons, find a magical world hidden in the gardens and so much more!


Spooktacular on Route 66

  • When: Oct. 25, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Where: Tulsa Market District (11th St. and Lewis Ave.)

Trick-or-treat at local businesses along 11th St. and Lewis Ave.


Bixby’s 8th Annual Hallow(themed) Party

  • When: October 25, 4-7 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Bixby

This community event is FREE and features attractions such as carnival games, carnival rides, inflatables, pony rides, hay rides, face painting, food trucks, and trick or treating in downtown Bixby. The event will feature a competitive costume contest with community respected judges and prizes provided by local businesses.


Trick-or-Treat at the Museum

  • When: October 30, 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: Will Rogers Memorial Museum, 1720 W. Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore

Join us for a safe night of trick-or-treating compliments of RCB Bank! Organizations and businesses in Claremore set up stations for kids in costumes to gather treats! willrogers.com


Trick or Treat on the Riverwalk

  • When: October 31, 4-6 p.m.
  • Where: Jenks Riverwalk, 300 Riverwalk Terrace, Jenks

Join the Jenks Chamber of Commerce for its annual Trick or Treat event – this time, at the Jenks Riverwalk!

Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee

  • When: Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 26-Nov. 1, 5:30-10 p.m.
  • Where: Castle of Muskogee, 3400 W. Fern Mountain Rd., Muskogee

The Castle of Muskogee’s annual Halloween Festival has attractions for people of every age and desired scare level. Kids can enjoy Halloweenland, the Enchanted Boardwalk, a Halloween Train and more. Those who can’t get enough make-believe horror can sign up for Domus Horrificus, Casa Morte and the Trail of Blood. Plus, you can purchase Halloween decor and costumes on-site as well as food and beverages. okcastle.com


“Eerie Academy”

  • Oct. 3-5, 10-12; Friday performances at 7 p.m., Saturday-Sunday performances at 2 p.m.
  • Spotlight Theatre, 1381 Riverside Dr.

“Eerie Academy” is a frighteningly fun and flexible collection of vignettes set in a school filled with ghosts, ghouls, vampires, aliens, and of course, the scariest of them all…  teenagers! Presented by Spotlight Children’s Theatre


Mummy & Me Dance

  • When: Oct. 11, 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: Nienhuis Park Community Center, 3201 N. 9th St., Broken Arrow

Mothers, step-mothers, aunts, grandmothers and female caretakers are all invited to bring their littles to this annual Mummy & Me dance! Wear your favorite costume and dance the night away. Cox Movie Night: Halloween Edition

  • When: October 24, 5-8 p.m.
  • Where: Gathering Place, 2650 S. John Williams Way

Families are invited to enjoy a free showing of a crowd-favorite Halloween movie at Cox Movie Night at Gathering Place! Before the show, guests are invited to participate in pre-show experiences that bring the film to life. Pre-show activities begin at 5 p.m., the movie begins at 6.


Halloween Carnival

  • When: Oct. 24, 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: Whiteside Park, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave.

This family-friendly event is packed with exciting activities, including costume contests, carnival games, and endless fun for children of all ages.


Movie Night: “The Phantom of the Opera”

  • When: October 24, 6-9 p.m.
  • Where: Will Rogers Memorial Museum, 1720 W. Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore

Watch the 2004 version of “The Phantom of the Opera.” Popcorn and admission are free thanks to the Bank of Commerce.


Safety Spooktacular

  • When: Oct. 25, 5-9 p.m.
  • Where: Rose District Plaza, 418 S. Main St.

The Broken Arrow Police Department is once again hosting Safety Spooktacular. The event will have live music, inflatables, FREE candy, BAPD & BAFD, a Costume Contest, and MUCH MORE!


Halloween Train

  • When: October 25-26 (see schedule here)
  • Where: Oklahoma Railway Museum, 3400 NE Grand Blvd., Oklahoma City

You and your family can ride a decked-out Halloween train and receive a candy gift bag. (Allergy–friendly bags available upon request.) Advance tickets recommended.


Lacy Park Halloween Festival

  • When: Oct. 31, 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Where: Lacy Park, 2134 N. Madison Ave.

Enjoy a variety of candy, games, delicious food, bouncy inflatables, and plenty of family entertainment.


“Giselle” presented by Tulsa Ballet

  • When: October 30, 7 p.m. (Preview Night); Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m.; Nov. 2, 2:30 p.m.
  • Where: Tulsa PAC, 110 E. 2nd St.

Set in a picturesque rural village, a young peasant girl whose love for a nobleman leads to heartbreak and betrayal, meets her untimely death. She is transformed into a spirit among the ghostly Wilis, who seek revenge on men.


Fowler Automotive Film on the Lawn: “Wicked” Sing Along

  • When: Oct. 31, 7-10 p.m.
