Free Halloween Events for Families

Between purchasing costumes (possibly more than one, if your kid is indecisive!), candy and seasonal decor, Halloween can get a bit harsh on the budget. But it doesn’t have to! Here are some free, community-wide Halloween events organized by the Tulsa City-County Library, local parks departments and others.

FALLOWEEN Family Fest

• Oct. 16, 5-7:30 p.m.
• Case Community Center, 1050 W. Wewika Rd., Sand Springs

An all-ages event featuring activities such as zombie tag, inflatables, a movie, crafts and, of course, candy!

Touch-a-Truck: Truck or Treat

• Saturday, Oct. 17, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
• Hardesty Regional Library

Explore vehicles of all sizes and meet Tulsa community members as they hand out candy from their vehicles. Costumes are encouraged. Supplies are limited. Everyone who attends will be entered into a prize drawing for a remote-controlled toy vehicle. Sponsored by the Friends of the Helmerich Library. Registration is required. Sparky’s Spooktacular 

• Oct. 17, 1:30-4 p.m.
• McClure Park

Join Tulsa Parks for a fun Halloween celebration for all ages, with candy, costumes, crafts and inflatables! Free and open to the public.

Arbooooretum: (Tree) Trunks and Treats

• Oct. 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
• Woodward Park Arboretum, 2435 S. Peoria Ave.

Tulsa Garden Center is hosting a free carnival, where local plant societies and other nonprofit partners will provide games and activities for all ages.

Brookside BooHaHa

• Oct. 24, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
• Brookside, Peoria between 31st and 41st

Trick or treat along Peoria and play in the Kids Zones before the popular BooHaHa parade.

Touch-a-Truck: Truck or Treat

• Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m.-noon
• Maxwell Park Library

Get up close with vehicles of all sizes and to trick-or-treat! Costumes are encouraged. Candy will be handed out while supplies last. For all ages.

BoOwasso Haunted Trail

• Oct. 24, 7-8:30 p.m.
• Rayola Park Playground

Wander through a spooky trail of fun frights and Halloween surprises.

Bixby’s 8th Annual Hallow(themed) Party

• Oct. 24, 4-7 p.m.
• Downtown Bixby

This community event is FREE and features attractions such as carnival fun, food trucks, trick or treating and plenty of other family fun.

Fall in the Park

• Oct. 25, 12-4 p.m.
• O’Brien Park, 6149 N. Lewis Ave.

Join Tulsa County Parks for an afternoon featuring a trunk or treat, car meet, food trucks, and art and craft vendors. Wear a costume!

Trick or Treat on the Riverwalk

• Oct. 29, 4-6 p.m.
• Jenks Riverwalk, 300 Riverwalk Terrace, Jenks

This family-friendly Halloween celebration is a hub of ghosts, goblins and superheroes. This event will feature decorated tables offering treats. The community is invited to attend in costume.

Lacy Park Halloween Festival

• Oct. 29, 6:30-8 p.m.
• Lacy Park, 2134 N. Madison Ave.

Enjoy a variety of candy, games, delicious food, bouncy inflatables, and plenty of family entertainment.

Halloween Carnival

• Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m.
• Whiteside Park, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave.

This family-friendly event is packed with exciting activities, including costume contests, carnival games, and endless fun. For ages 0-10.

Trick or Treat at Bixby Library

• Oct. 31, 1-2 p.m.
• Bixby Library, 20 E. Breckenridge Ave., Bixby

Stop by the Bixby Library for trick-or-treating early in the day. For children of all ages.

Safety Spooktacular

• Oct. 31, 5-9 p.m.
• Rose District Plaza, 418 S. Main St.

The Broken Arrow Police Department is once again hosting Safety Spooktacular. The event will have tons of free candy, Halloween family fun, a chance to meet BAPD officers and other community partners, giveaways and more.

Trick-or-Treat at the Museum

• October 31, 6-8 p.m.
• Will Rogers Memorial Museum, 1720 W. Will Rogers Blvd., Claremore
