As thousands of students prepare to head back to the classroom this fall, Tulsa Period Pantry is reminding the community that period products are school supplies, too. The nonprofit has partnered with 70 schools and youth programs across Tulsa County, ensuring over 55,000 girls have reliable access to the products they need to stay in school and thrive.

“1 in 4 girls in the U.S. miss school because they don’t have period products – and we’re seeing that right here in Tulsa,” said Cassie Celestain, President and Founder of Tulsa Period Pantry. “No student should have to miss a day of learning because of something as natural and manageable as a period.”

With the start of the school year just around the corner, Tulsa Period Pantry is expanding efforts to stock schools and youth programs with pads, tampons, and hygiene supplies – treating them as essential tools for student success.

“We often talk about pencils and notebooks, but we must also talk about period products as basic school essentials,” added Cassie. “Without them, girls are at a disadvantage.”

Tulsa Period Pantry encourages community members, businesses, and civic groups to support their mission through product donations, financial contributions, or hosting supply drives. Every donation helps keep students in class, confident and prepared.
