Tulsa Performing Arts Center Launches Inaugural Youth Advisory Board

The Tulsa Performing Arts Center is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever Youth Advisory Board, a new initiative designed to empower young leaders and deepen youth engagement in the arts community.

Tpac Youth Advisory Board

Open to high school students in grades 9–12, the TPAC Youth Advisory Board will serve as a platform for passionate, creative, and civic-minded students to gain hands-on experience in leadership, collaboration, and community service, all while supporting and shaping the future of the performing arts in Tulsa.

“This is more than just a leadership program — it’s a unique opportunity for students to have a real voice at the table,” said Sara Phoenix, Vice President of Development and Engagement for the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. “By inviting young people to help shape our programs and outreach, we’re investing in the future of the arts in Tulsa.”

Board members will meet regularly throughout the school year to participate in special projects and learn how community boards operate. Members will also serve as ambassadors for the Tulsa PAC, building stronger connections between the organization and their schools, neighborhoods, and peers.

Applications are now open through September 30, 2025. Interested students can apply online at tulsapac.com/youth-advisory-board.

Selected board members will serve during the 2025–2026 school year. Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, especially those with a passion for the arts and a desire to make a positive impact in their community.

Tulsa Performing Arts Center

Built by the City of Tulsa and funded by the people of Tulsa, the Tulsa Performing Arts Center opened its doors in March 1977 as the City’s new municipal theatre. Operated by the City of Tulsa for four decades, the City handed over managerial control of the facility to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust in 2019. The TPAC Trust will continue to bring the best in performing arts from all over the world to the TPAC stages, but broad plans are also in place to self-produce additional events and create bigger and better community outreach programs.
