Asian Affairs Commission to Host Inaugural Tulsa Asia Fest

Event to be First Major Citywide Celebration of Asian Cultures in Tulsa

The City of Tulsa’s Asian Affairs Commission will host its inaugural Tulsa Asia Fest on Jan. 31, 2026, from 3-8 p.m. in the Arvest Convention Center at 100 Civic Center.

The festival will be the first major citywide celebration of Asian cultures in Tulsa.

The event theme “Celebrating 2026: Year of the Horse” will feature festive décor, cultural performances, artisans, food vendors and family-friendly activities. It is free and open to the public.

“Building on the success of our community Lunar New Year event, the Asian Affairs Commission is excited to kickstart a new community tradition with the Tulsa Asia Fest,” said Sarah Gilpin, Asian Affairs Commission Chair. “Tulsans will be able to take part in the citywide lunar new year celebrations and experience the vibrant cultures of our Asian community.”

Festival highlights:

  • 3 p.m. Doors open with artisan and food vendors, and educational booths
  • 3:45 p.m. Opening welcome, followed by a community-led cultural performance showcase
  • 5:30 p.m. Fashion show highlighting the dozens of Asian cultures in Tulsa
  • 7:15 p.m. Closing remarks followed by cultural performances, including dragon dance
