Aesop’s Greatest Hits Brings Beloved Fables to Life for Young Audiences at Tulsa Performing Arts Center
The Tulsa Performing Arts Center invites families and school groups to experience Aesop’s Greatest Hits, a joyful, colorful stage production created especially for young learners. Running February 23–26 at 10:00 and 11:30 a.m., with additional performances on February 27 at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 6:30 p.m., this lively show offers a playful introduction to classic storytelling for children in Pre-K through 2nd grade.
Designed with kindergarteners in mind, Aesop’s Greatest Hits is a fast-paced romp through Aesop’s most beloved fables, blending humor, creativity, and vibrant theatricality. Young audiences will delight in the laughter and visual storytelling while gently discovering timeless lessons about kindness, honesty, and perseverance along the way.
The production is part of the Imagination Series, a family-friendly program that combines professional storytelling performances with meaningful learning opportunities. These one-hour shows introduce children to the performing arts through engaging, interactive experiences, often paired with STEAM-related concepts and study guides for deeper exploration before and after the performance. Daytime shows are ideal for school groups, while evening performances welcome families and friends to enjoy theatre together.
Aesop’s Greatest Hits also proudly participates in Any Given Child, the national Kennedy Center initiative that ensures students have equitable access to the arts. Tulsa is one of a select group of cities involved in the program, working in partnership with Foundation for Tulsa Schools and Tulsa Public Schools, the Mayor’s Office, and local arts organizations to guarantee students experience at least nine live arts events before graduating high school.
Through Any Given Child, the Tulsa Performing Arts Center is pleased to offer TPS kindergarten and seventh grade students a free live theatre performance, helping foster creativity, imagination, and a lifelong connection to the arts.
