Join Discovery Lab every Monday at 11:00 a.m. for Little Lab Programming, for guests 4 years and younger. Activities will focus on learning shapes, colors, working on fine motor skills, identifying emotions, and more!

Indie Lens Pop Up: The Librarians (7 p.m., Circle Cinema, 10 S. Lewis Ave.)
A new season of PBS’ Independent Lens is returning to Circle Cinema in 2026!
Kicking things off strong is a one night only acclaimed documentary screening of “The Librarians” hosted by friend of the Circle, Sydney Alison. The special guest will be Tulsa & Ellen DeGeneres’ “favorite librarian” Kirby Mackenzie. Librarian and Film Participant Audrey Wilson-Youngblood will also be joining via zoom for some great conversation.
ABOUT THE FILM
When Texas lawmakers seek to review a list of books, librarians find themselves on the frontlines of a national battle. Across the U.S., librarians face the impact of uniting against library collection standards that include restrictions on race-related and LGBTQIA+ content. Drawing on historical context, The Librarians explores the broader implications for education and public life. (NOTE: The Librarians will debut on OETA/PBS February 7.)

Listen to a story and meet an animal ambassador every Wednesday morning at Tulsa Zoo! Story time will meet at the Oklahoma Central Credit Center Nature Exchange located inside the Life of the Cold building.

Birds and Brews (9-10 a.m., Ray Harral Nature Center, 7101 S. 3rd St., BA)
Nature Center staff will provide Birds & Beans coffee and various learning materials to help begin your birding adventure. Relax in our lounge area, view the activity at our bird feeders from the observation deck, or use our binoculars for birding on the go! Coffee will be provided while supplies last. Please bring your own cup.
Nature Academy (10 a.m.-12 p.m., Tulsa Zoo, 6421 E . 36th St. N.)
Calling all homeschoolers! On the last Friday of every month, join Tulsa Zoo for Nature Academy at the Oklahoma Central Credit Union Nature Exchange! The Zoo will provide a treasure trove of exciting activities and prompts, all designed to inspire you to explore the outdoors.

Join the Tandy Family YMCA for a fun Community Open House featuring free family activities, group exercise, and one-day-only Summer Camp specials.

Tulsa Asia Fest (3-8 p.m., Arvest Convention Center, 100 Civic Center)
The City of Tulsa’s Asian Affairs Commission will host its inaugural Tulsa Asia Fest on Jan. 31, 2026, from 3-8 p.m. in the Arvest Convention Center at 100 Civic Center.
The festival will be the first major citywide celebration of Asian cultures in Tulsa.
The event theme “Celebrating 2026: Year of the Horse” will feature festive décor, cultural performances, artisans, food vendors and family-friendly activities. It is free and open to the public.
Coffee House (7-11 p.m., Youth Services of Tulsa, 311 S. Madison Ave.)
Youth ages 12-18 have a place to hang out, express themselves and enjoy live music, wifi and free hot beverages courtesy of QuikTrip. Youth can enjoy new activities and events weekly. Coffee House is open every Saturday night from 7-11 and admission is always free. Check facebook.com/ystcoffeehouse for event updates, including activities and cancellations.
Sunday, Feb. 1
The Pirates of Penzance (2:30 p.m., Lorton Performance Center at TU, 550 S. Gary Pl.)
Gilbert and Sullivan’s hilarious, swashbuckling romance is a comedy classic bursting with toe-tapping tunes from “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General” to “I Am a Pirate King,” from “Poor Wand’ring One” to “O, Is There Not One Maiden Breast?”.
Sung in English, accompanied by the Tulsa Opera Orchestra. 2 hours 15 minutes plus a 20-minute intermission. Repeats Jan. 30, 7:30 p.m.
