2026 Mayfest Youth Art Gallery Accepting Nominations

K-12 students attending any school or homeschool located in the Tulsa Metro area are invited to register to display a single piece of original 2D or 3D artwork in the Student Art Gallery Exhibition Artwork will be displayed in the Renaissance Square Event Center, just west of the Campbell Hotel, at 2636 E 11th Street. Students will have the option to sell their artwork. Students will receive 70% of the sales price and Tulsa Mayfest will retain 30% of sales to cover administrative costs. When submitting your registration, you will have the option to mark the piece as “Not for Sale” or insert the price of your choosing.

Exhibition Guidelines

  • IF POSSIBLE, ONE PIECE OF STUDENT ART WILL BE SELECTED FOR THE 2026 POSTER. To be considered for the poster art, it must have a theme of Route 66, Mayfest and/or Downtown Tulsa. It may have one, two or three of these themes. Artwork must have been created during the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Artwork must be original. Work that was created using commercial kits, prefabricated forms or other commercial methods will not be accepted. Work created using AI is not acceptable.
  • Artwork must be ready to hang or show, meaning it must be framed or have adequate hanging hardware attached for 2D pieces (adhesive sawtooth hangers are acceptable). Work that is not ready to hang or display will not be accepted.

Award Information

All artwork will be juried by local artists/gallery owners/educators.

Artwork will be juried in the following categories:

  • Primary (K-5)
  • Middle School (6-8)
  • High School (9-12)

Prizes (awarded per age group):

  • 1st Place – $75
  • 2nd Place – $50
  • 3rd Place -$25

One high school student will receive the PSO Mark of Excellence Award, a $550 cash prize, for outstanding creativity and technique.

Award winners will be notified via email by noon by Monday, May 11.

Artwork Dropoff

All entries must be delivered to the Renaissance Square Event Center at 2636 E 11th Street on Thursday, April 30, between 3 and 6 p.m.

Artwork Pickup

Entries must remain in the Student Art Gallery until Sunday, May 31, 2026. All work must be picked up between 12 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 31. Mayfest is not responsible for the return or storing of any art left after this time. Please contact tulsamayfest@gmail.com should you have any questions.
