Atlas School is developing tomorrow’s leaders through engaging programs. Our mission is to prepare students for entry-level positions in technology fields through education and hands-on training to positively impact their lives, communities, and workplaces. We pride ourselves on creating an environment that enables students to learn the technical skills needed to start their career in a field of software engineering, while developing the essential skills they will rely on throughout their lives.
Vocational Software Training
At Atlas School, we blend the theory of software development with practical, work- place-ready skills. Our students learn more than just how to code. They gain experience in teamwork, communication, and real-world problem solving. Our curriculum focuses on in-demand skills within the tech industry. Our Advisory Board, a team of local employers, technical and non-technical industry professionals,to ensure our training stays aligned with current technological educational trends. Students can choose from three focused paths:
- Full-Stack Development: Learn how to build modern web applications from the ground up. You’ll take ideas from concept to launch, designing user-friendly websites, writing the code that powers them, and deploying your work online.
- Machine Learning: Discover how computers can learn from data and make decisions on their own. You’ll train smart systems that help solve real-world problems, like recommending content, detecting patterns, or powering AI tools.
- Systems Programming: Go behind the scenes of how computers work. You’ll build powerful tools for advanced systems, connect software to hardware, and design interfaces that help people control technology with ease.
Technical Skills for the Industry
At Atlas School, our 20-month programs are built for beginners and career changers alike. Learn the programming languages, frameworks, and tools that power today’s tech industry and be taught by instructors with real-world experience. As technology evolves, you’ll have the skills to adapt and the confidence to grow into entry-level roles and beyond.
Success in Tech Takes More Than Code
At Atlas School, students learn that communication is just as important as code. While building their technical skills, they also develop the ability to explain their work clearly, present ideas confidently, and collaborate effectively in team environments.
Through hands-on projects and instructor-guided learning, students practice communicating complex concepts to non-technical audiences, giving and receiving feedback, and contributing to group efforts. They build written, verbal, and digital communication skills that prepare them for real-world collaboration. Because in today’s tech industry, knowing how to code is essential, but knowing how to communicate sets you apart.
Learn on Your Own Time
At Atlas School, our blended distance education model combines weekly on-campus sessions with online coursework. Students get in-person interaction and the flexibility to complete assignments during the week, while meeting set deadlines. It’s a balanced approach that supports steady progress and real-life schedules.
A Community of Support
At Atlas School, we help students navigate challenges that can affect their education. We connect students to internal and community-based resources for tutoring, transportation, food assistance, and other services based on student needs. Our student services team also provides community and wellness program- ming on campus regularly!
