Vintage Barbie Museum Pop Up Returns to Tulsa June 1, 2026
Over 500 Dolls Showcasing Barbie’s “Modern Era” on Display in the Tulsa Arts District

The Vintage Barbie Museum returns to Tulsa with an unforgettable pop-up exhibition of dolls in the Tulsa Arts District at 216 N. Main Street during June and July of 2026. On view are more than 500 unique dolls from the modern era. Also on display are a sampling of iconic dolls from the vintage period showing Barbie’s evolution. The exhibition represents nearly seven decades of fashion history, design trends, pop cultural touchstones, and major societal shifts as seen through the lens of collector’s vision and love for the world’s most famous fashion doll.
A unique focus of this exhibition will be the evolution of Barbie’s style in an era when collectible Barbies exploded in popularity. Featuring unique collector’s items created by designers like Bob Mackey, specialty collections like the famous Barbie Silkstone Collections, pop culture moments and major licensing projects such as the Twilight film fashion dolls and a world of celebrity dolls come together for this one-of-a-kind exhibition.
Curated by Vintage Barbie Museum co-founder and vintage Barbie collector, JD Houchens with the assistance of lifelong Barbie collector and T-Town Fashion Doll Collectors Club Member, Nancy Henderson Long, this is the first time Long’s collection will be presented publicly in its entirety.
