My daughter Angel, and I had a great weekend this past weekend and wanted to share with you some pictures.

Mayfest 2024
This is one of the reasons why Tulsa Rocks! What started in 1973, Tulsa International Mayfest is now a production of University of Tulsa. This is from their website, TulsaMayfest.org:
“In February 2023, The University of Tulsa announced the acquisition of Mayfest and the Hardesty Arts Building downtown. In a statement, President Brad Carson stated “The University of Tulsa wants to be a foundation upon which the Tulsa arts community can grow.”
We Shall Teach Rock and Roll To The World!
My daughter’s bestie‘s name is Izzy. We picked up Izzy at her house and drove to the Jenks Riverwalk to watch a performance by School of Rock. School of Rock is exactly as the name implies and is directly related to the movie. The only school is located on 71st & Garnett. I loved learning that there will soon be a second location on the Riverwalk in Jenks!
Students learning their instruments put on a concert at the end of the semester for relatives, friends and anyone that loves to rock! The performance was on the Jenks Riverwalk stage, and it was awesome! They did a whole set of ’80s Hair Metal!
The weather was absolutely beautiful, so I decided to bring my knucklehead dog named Domino. He is not in the public very much, so with all the people and the loud music, he was pretty excited to say the least. Almost too excited, so we only stayed for about a half hour. We had fun, and I absolutely loved watching these kids rock out. They hit some sour notes, but let’s be honest, rock ‘n’ roll ain’t supposed to be perfect. Am I right?
Mother’s Day
Angel and I then capped off the weekend meeting her mom so they could spend the day celebrating Mothers Day on Sunday at one of our favorite places to chillax, Starbucks.
And Domino got his first Pup Cup!
