Oklahoma Hall of Fame at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum
The Oklahoma Hall of Fame was created to honor extraordinary Oklahomans and to provide educational programming for students of all ages. The organization supports education in a variety of ways including awarding scholarships, providing free statewide field trips, hosting Homeschool Days, offering free family fun days and more.
Free family programs at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame are offered throughout the year: over spring break, Thursdays in June and July, over fall break, and the second Saturday of each month. Activities include crafts, art projects, educational activities, story time and unique partnerships.
Permanent exhibits within the Gaylord-Pickens Museum are updated seasonally to provide visitors with new experiences on a regular basis. Permanent exhibits include the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Gallery, featuring more than 700 Oklahoma Hall of Fame members; the Makerspace, where visitors can enjoy STEAM-based learning activities; and Picture Yourself, which invites guests to jump into life-sized photo experiences inspired by Oklahoma Hall of Fame Member professions. And don’t miss the Chickasaw Nation Oklahoma Through Its People Gallery, which explores the five characteristics every change-making Oklahoman possesses: perseverance, pioneer spirit, optimism, generosity and individualism.
