Dive-In Movies at The Hyatt Regency Downtown

Joss and I had the pleasure of going to The Hyatt Regency Downtown’s first Dive-In Movie of the summer! We’ve been to the hotel years ago for Tokyo, OK, but I didn’t know they have a lovely rooftop pool! This summer, the hotel is offering a Dive-In movie series, which you can learn more about at tulsadiveinmovies.com

The hotel has a nice rooftop patio next to the pool from which to watch the films. You have your choice of tables, chairs, lounge chairs, a couple cushy sofas, etc. The big screen wasn’t working while we were there, but they set it up on a regular television, and I could see everything just fine, even from one of the further-away chairs.

Food and Beverages

In addition to watching the film and enjoying the cool pool, you can order food and drinks. The menu includes summer grilling classics like hamburgers and hot dogs, plus bags of flavored popcorn, pretzels and more. As far as drinks, you have your choice of soft drinks, water, tea, as well as beer and cocktails. Find the full menu at tulsadiveinmovies.com/menu

Rooftop Pool

It’s safe to say the pool was Joss’s favorite part of the evening. I didn’t end up diving in (well, it’s a no-diving pool), but he was swimming pretty much the entire time. The movie showing on the night we were there was “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” – which is a full 2.5 hours long! Looking back, I wish we’d have left earlier because the late night made for a difficult Saturday morning. But Joss was enjoying the pool so much, I felt bad calling him away early!

They had plenty of pool noodles and inner tubes available, which the kids took full advantage of. Plus, they have a towel service included, so you shouldn’t have to bring your own.
