Northeastern State University is Oklahoma’s fourth-largest public four-year institution, serving nearly 9,000 students annually across three campuses (Tahlequah, Broken Arrow, and Muskogee). As one of six regional universities under the Regional University System of Oklahoma, NSU continues to grow its academic offerings, expand access across northeastern Oklahoma and strengthen its partnerships with tribal nations. NSU was originally founded as the Cherokee National Female Seminary in 1846, making NSU Oklahoma’s oldest institution of higher learning.

Today, NSU offers more than 80 degree programs, preparing students for careers in high-demand fields like nursing, education, business and technology.
