The Oklahoma Higher Education Loan Program (OK HELP) is a state-sponsored, non-profit student loan program administered by the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority. It helps students and families pay for college expenses not covered by scholarships, grants, or federal aid.

The program offers:

  • Undergraduate loans for students pursuing a degree, certificate, or diploma.
  • Graduate loans for advanced degree programs.
  • Parent loans for parents or guardians of undergraduate students.

Refinance loans for borrowers in repayment to reduce monthly payments by lowering the interest rate or changing repayment terms (program available in 2027).

Key features include fixed interest rates, no application or origination fees, multiple repayment options, and the ability to borrow up to the school’s certified cost of attendance, subject to program limits. Eligible borrowers generally include Oklahoma residents attending approved schools (and certain Texas students attending Oklahoma schools).
