Tempo Montessori Charter School is a public charter school authorized by the Oklahoma State Charter Board and scheduled to open in August 2027 in the Tulsa area. Tempo Montessori is dedicated to providing children and families access to a high-quality Montessori education that is both academically rigorous and developmentally responsive. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, the school combines individualized learning, hands-on experiences and purposeful guidance to help students grow academically, socially and emotionally.

Tempo Montessori will initially serve students in pre-K4, kindergarten and grade six, expanding each year until serving students in pre-K4 through grade eight. The school’s learning environment is designed to foster independence, responsibility, curiosity and civic engagement through authentic Montessori practices aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards.

Students at Tempo will engage in uninterrupted work cycles, collaborative learning and meaningful real-world experiences that encourage critical thinking and self-direction. Families will have access to a free public school choice option that values community connection, respect and high expectations for every child. Tempo Montessori aims to become a model public Montessori school in Oklahoma.
