Philbrook Playdates

  • When: February 1, 9:30 a.m.
  • Where: Philbrook Museum, 2727 S. Rockford Rd.

Come and play with your child, let your child play with other kids, and meet other adults! Philbrook provides the creative activity and cleans up the mess.

February Theme: Exploring Color
Vibrant colors capture our attention and delight our senses. Join us as we explore our favorite colors in the whole museum!

Playdates at Philbrook are facilitated by early learning specialists. The first 30 minutes are a soft start with coffee, low-key activities and getting-to-know-you time. After that, we’ll transition to activities in the garden or Philbrook galleries. Spark wonder and foster creative development with rotating activities for you and your child (under 5).

Storytime at Gathering Place

  • When: Thursdays at 4 p.m.; Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. (ONEOK Boathouse)
  • Where: Gathering Place, 2600 S. Riverside Dr.

Fall in love with the magic found in children’s books! Join us every Thursday at 4 p.m. under the Reading Tree, and every Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in ONE Boathouse for Story Time from guest readers.

Aqua Tots

  • When: the first Tuesday of each month (February4), 10:30-11 a.m.
  • Where: Oklahoma Aquarium, 300 Aquarium Dr., Jenks

Every good aquanaut started as an Aqua Tot! Bring your future ocean explorers (ages 2-5) for story time by the sea. First Tuesday of every month at 10:30 AM. Included with admission.

Bounce’n Beethovens Presented by Midtown School of Performing Arts

  • When: Thursday, Feb. 6, 6:30-7:15 p.m.
  • Where: Owasso Library, 103 W. Broadway St., Owasso

Children ages 0-5 and their parents explore music through movement and instruments as they play with egg shakers, bells, rhythm sticks, drums and maracas in this fun, interactive program. Registration is required. Register at www.tulsalibrary.org/events or call 918-549-7323.

1-2-3 Play With Me Parent-Child Workshop

  • When: Fridays, February 7-21, 10-11:15 a.m.
  • Where: Owasso Library, 103 W. Broadway St.

Playing is learning! Join the Owasso Library for a three-week play workshop series for parents and children ages 1-3. Each program offers opportunities for children to play with developmentally appropriate toys in a play group atmosphere. Early childhood specialists will be available to talk about child development, speech and hearing, and music and movement. Class size is limited. Registration is required and is for all three weeks of the series. Register at the library or by calling 918-549-7323.

Bikes, Balls & You

  • When: Tuesday and Thursday mornings (excluding school holidays), 9:30-11 a.m.
  • Where: Whiteside Community Center, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave.

This open gym time for preschoolers is a great way to socialize with other kids. Bring a riding toy. NO FOOD or DRINKS in the gym please. Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30-11 a.m. Cost is 50 cents/child per visit. No Bikes and Balls during school holidays.

Open Gym for Tots

  • When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Where: Hicks Park, 3443 S. Mingo Rd.

Mini basketball, hula hoops, tunnels, etc. Bring your own riding toys! Free.

Tiny Tots at Wheels and Thrills

  • When: Thursdays at 10 a.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
  • Where: Wheels and Thrills, 10637 N. Garnett Rd., Owasso

Kids ages 6 and under can enjoy a special time just for them twice a week at Wheels and Thrills!

Move It Monday

  • When: Monday, January 24, 10:30-11 a.m.
  • Where: Discovery Lab, 560 N. Maybelle Ave.

Move to music, play a game, and read a book! All activities center around a theme and are designed for young children’s physical, mental, emotional, and social development. This event is included with regular admission and there is no pre-registration required.

Teddy Bear Ball

  • When: January 31, 5-6:30 p.m.
  • Where: Whiteside Community Center, 4009 S. Pittsburg Ave.

Dress those little ones and their favorite bear up for their first “dance”. We’ll have music, lights, refreshment and more all geared for the 5 & under set. Tickets are $5 at the door. Parents are FREE!

Please join us for Oklahoma Moms Demand Action’s Annual Advocacy Day in OKC. We’ll meet at 1st Unitarian Church of OKC at 600 NW 13th St, OKC, OK 73103 for registration, planning & training. Then we’ll head to the Capitol to meet with lawmakers for friendly discussions about proposed gun legislation. Light breakfast will be provided. Please bring yourself a sack lunch and/or snacks.
