What could be cozier this holiday season than curling up for a festive film? Here is our list of free movies playing around town this holiday season!

Bixby Library (20 E. Breckenridge Ave., Bixby)

  • Saturday, Dec. 14, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Holiday Movie Madness: “Santa Buddies”: Eat popcorn, make a craft and watch “Santa Buddies” (rated G). It’s up to Puppy Paws and his newfound buddies to save Christmas. For all ages.
  • Saturday, Dec. 21, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Holiday Movie Madness: “The Santa Clause”: Eat popcorn, make a craft and watch “The Santa Clause” (rated PG). Because of the Santa clause, Scott inherits the job of Santa and meets the elf Bernard. For all ages.
  • Friday, Dec. 27, 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m.: Holiday Movie Madness: Muppets Extravaganza: Popcorn and Muppets all day makes for a fun holiday! Wear your favorite pajamas and join us to watch “The Muppet Christmas Carol” and “A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa.” For all ages.
  • Saturday, Dec. 18, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Holiday Movie Madness: “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”: Eat popcorn, make a craft and watch “Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire” (rated PG-13). Harry and friends compete in the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament. For ages 10 and up.

  • Friday, Dec. 13, 4-6 p.m.: Family Movie Night: “The Nightmare Before Christmas”: A Friday the 13th, right before a festive holiday? Tim Burton has a movie for this very occasion. Join us for this fun, holiday movie. Rated PG. For all ages.

Central Library (400 Civic Center)

  • Tuesday, Dec. 17, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.: Lord of the Rings Movie Marathon: It’s been almost 18 years since the first “Lord of the Rings” movie hit theaters, so it’s time to celebrate! We will binge-watch all three movies, beginning with “The Fellowship of the Ring, all while making crafts native to Middle Earth. Drop in at any point throughout the day to join in on the merriment! Popcorn is provided. Costumes are encouraged, but certainly not required. For all ages.

Hardesty Library (8316 E. 93rd St.)

  • Saturday, Dec. 7, 2-4 p.m.: Hardesty Holiday Movies: “Ernest Saves Christmas”: Gather family and friends to enjoy the warmth and joy of the season with a free showing of “Ernest Saves Christmas.” In this Yuletide comedy, Ernest scrambles to find a successor for Santa Claus. For all ages.
  • Saturday, Dec. 14, 2-4 p.m.: Hardesty Holiday Movies: “The Holiday” (PG-13): Gather family and friends to enjoy the warmth and joy of the season with a showing of “The Holiday.” An American and a Brit vacation in each other’s homes and find romance. For ages 13 and up.
  • Saturday, Dec. 21, 2-4 p.m.: Hardesty Holiday Movies: “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe” (PG): Gather family and friends to enjoy the warmth and joy of the season with a showing of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” Four English schoolchildren find their way through the back of a wardrobe into the magic land of Narnia and assist Aslan, the golden lion, to triumph over the White Witch, who has cursed the land with eternal winter. For all ages.

  • Saturday, Dec. 14, 2-4 p.m.: Family Movie Saturday: Join us for a popular 2019 summer family movie starring a certain lovable cowboy and space ranger. Popcorn and water are provided. All ages are welcome.

Chapman Green Arts (605 S. Main St.)

  • Friday, Dec. 13, 5-7:30 p.m.: Arvest Foundation Presents “The Nightmare Before Christmas”: Yes! We are showing The Nightmare Before Christmas on Friday the 13th! We will start off the evening with a kids ornament craft at 5 and will begin the movie around 6. We will have outdoor heaters placed around the lawn to keep warm!

Guthrie Green (111 E. M.B. Brady St.)

  • Thursday, Dec. 5, 6-9 p.m.: “A Christmas Story“: Join us for a showing of the holiday classic, “A Christmas Story”! We will also have “A Christmas Story” trivia before the film and special themed items from our vendors this night.
