All Things Cake Celebrates 10 Years by Giving Away 10 Birthday Cakes
Established in 2010, All Things Cake is gearing up to celebrate 10 years as a popular custom bakery and supply store, by hosting a Birthday Cake Contest where ten children, ages 16 and under, will win a free custom birthday cake. Contestants are asked to design All Things Cake’s 10th Birthday Cake by coloring a 5-tier blank template and returning it to All Things Cake by February 22nd.
Janette Stenstrom, Owner and Operator of All Things Cake
The top winner’s 5-tier design will be recreated by the All Things Cake decorators and on display at the All Things Cake 10th Birthday Party to be held on Saturday, March 7th from 10am-4pm where guests can enjoy birthday cake and other sweets prepared by All Things Cake. Sales, freebies and other promotions will be going on that day as well. Official entry forms can be picked up at All Things Cake or requested via email at email@example.com.
This milestone is important. Many small businesses don’t make it to their 10th year and Tulsa has seen other bakeries close in recent years. All Things Cake’s specific niche of offering not only custom cakes for birthdays, weddings and other occasions, but also cake and cookie decorating classes for children and adults, cupcake decorating birthday parties and hard-to-find supplies for cake, cookie and candy makers has helped it reach this milestone. All Things Cake continues to grow and plans to expand nationally in 2020 by offering subscription boxes for cake and cookie decorating enthusiasts.
All Things Cake is owned by Tulsa native and mother of three, Janette Stenstrom, who opened All Things Cake after years in the corporate world. When laid off in 2008, Stenstrom, who enjoyed baking for her children, decided to turn her hobby into a business. Today, Stenstrom can be found teaching classes, meeting with couples to plan their wedding cakes and managing her staff of talented decorators.
