Closing the Achievement Gap... Revisited

We've known about persistent educational achievement gaps between groups of children in K-12 schools for a long time. Some of us have been trying to close those gaps. Yet, the gaps remain. On November 11th, an inspirational group of parents, families, educators, and community members gathered at Gilcrease Middle School, showing their dedication to improving educational opportunities for all, and their unwillingness to give up hope. "Every Child Matters: A Community Committed" was a community conversation hosted by the National Education Association and the Oklahoma Education Association.
