Kids Crafts at Sooner Scrapbooks
On President's Day last week, I had the opportunity to spend the day off with my little bees and we had quite a day! After hanging out in our jammies most of the morning and eating pancakes, we got cleaned up and headed out to run some errands and find some fun.
I shared recently that Sooner Scrapbooks was on my radar, and last Monday they had a craft activity for $5 per child. We showed up for snacks and stamps and made some pretty cool art!
Sooner Scrapbooks owner, Shannon, had put together some darling name art and bubble wrap crafts for us to do that day. What's cool about their crafts, is that all the supplies are covered in the $5, and you pretty much have access to anything she has that you'd like to use in your project including stickers, stamps, scissors (all different styles), stamps, paints, markers, scrapbook paper, ribbons, you name it!
We rolled up our sleeves and dug in!
We used the bubble wrap as our stamps to create a really fun effect. I told the boys I thought it looked like racecar or skateboard tire tracks!
How fun and simple are these? The boys weren't really interested in stickers or any other decoration; they liked their name signs just as they were. But Miss Shannon was sweet enough to send each of them home with a whole sheet full of Cars stickers they could use another time! I think these will be so cute in some square scrapbook frames over their beds in their rooms, don't you?
Here's Aidan's little pom-pom he made with his bubble wrap. Such a cute and creative idea. I'm totally going to get some of those awesome kids' stamp pads from her so we can do this at home.
If you're looking for some simple and inexpensive ideas for crafts your kids can do at home, stop by Sooner Scrapbooks and see Shannon! These stamp pads have washable ink, and think of all the possibilities!
Next up: I need to go to Shannon's Scrapbooking 101 class and finish my little's baby books!
See you around town!
