Blog Post #1: The Day I Found Out
The day I found out that we were having a child was one of the best days of my life. I'll never forget that day, because we were getting prepared for a major winter storm. Yes, that is how I remember most of the major events in my life, by what weather event was occurring at the time. Immediately my whole mindset changed.
Before, I used to travel through snow haphazardly. But, that would change after I found out that my wife was pregnant. I now thought about how careful I must be, because I am going to have to provide for a child. It's like a six sense that came over me. A sense that my whole life is going to be turned upside down, but for the better.
I have to give a lot of credit to my wife! This week she enters her 32nd week of pregnancy. I have never been more proud of her than I am today. She has trudged through the hottest summer on record while bearing a child, and has not complained one bit. I know that I would be complaining day and night.
Ironically, as I finish writing this first blog, I must run to head to another bi-weekly doctor's appointment to check on our little girl Sophie. I look forward to writing and sharing more about our upcoming family.
God Bless... Mike
