Oklahoma Teachers Considering Strike

Oklahoma teachers are among the lowest paid in the country

Right now, teachers across Oklahoma are considering a statewide walkout, tentatively planned to begin April 2. A Facebook group, “Oklahoma Teacher Walkout – The Time Is Now!” has more than 40,000 members since just last week.

Oklahoma teachers are among the lowest paid in the country and have not had a raise in a decade.

The timing would come right at standardized testing time.

Parents, what do you think of a teacher walkout?
