About This Blog

Welcome to Coffee Nebula, the Roe-Owen family blog. Justin is a slightly hippie, music-loving, super talented professional chef. The kids describe their mom (that’s me--Kristi) as a “very intelligent geek,” and students at Union High School who know me as tirelessly nerdy, glitter-loving English tutor “Mrs. O” probably agree. We met waiting tables and fell in love over the Olive Garden breadsticks in 1997, and 20 years later, we’re a minivan-sized fam. Nine-year-old Arthur is the long-haired, anime-loving pescetarian with a wry wit, a passion for art, and a personal style that lies somewhere between 90s grunge and a Hot Topic fire sale. Noah, four months his elder, is our vehicle-obsessed autism advocate. Six-year-old Lucy bounces when she walks, adores Five Nights at Freddy’s, and goes by “Cupcake.” Whether we’re cosplaying Supernatural characters, participating in GISHWHES (the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen). DIYing every no-sew Barbie outfit on Youtube, fangirling over Simply Nailogical, camping at our backyard fire pit, or throwing gummy buffet dance parties, our family motto is “Together or Not at All.”
