This week in the news: Happy 2012
Six days into 2012 and I'm already faltering on a few of my resolutions. For example, I resolved to bring my lunch to work everyday in an effort to save money and eat healthier. But, the baby really needed some good Lebanese food yesterday, so I had to hit up Dena's. Oops.
Another is to be a better, more organized blogger. So, my plan is that every Friday I'm going to post the most compelling (in my humble opinion) news stories that I've read throughout the week. Some may be funny, some may be sad, some may be infuriating, but they all made me stop whatever I was doing and read more. One thing I refuse to do is get political. I have my opinions (oh do I), but choose to keep them off this blog.
WHAT A SURVIVOR: Okla. teen mom asks 911 for permission, fatally shoots intruder on New Year's eve- This story just so happens to coincide with my favorite quote of the week: "You do whatever you have to do to protect your baby."
THE ULTIMATE IN DONATING: Oklahoma Mother's Milk Bank and Lactation Center- So far, this is just a facebook page, but I'm really excited about it.
FOR YOUR PRAYERS: Ardmore man injured in ATV accident- I know this man's wife and they have two little children. Good people. Please keep them in your prayers.
GO AWAY: Casey Anthony's 'video diary' surfaces- Proving once again that she's a certified egomaniac.
FELICITY FOREVER: Keri Russell Welcomes a Daughter!- I loved Keri Russell even when she chopped off all of her hair.
SAY IT ISN'T SO: Barry J. Sanders to pick Stanford over Oklahoma State, source says- Oh, come on, Junior!
OH MY: Vietnam man Nguyen Duy Hai has 90kg tumour removed- Makes my growing baby bump seem pretty small.
Have a good weekend everyone!
