New Surgery for a Beating Heart

Beating heart surgery, also known as off-pump heart surgery because of the absence of the heart-lung bypass machine, is one of these great advances and is transforming patient outcomes for heart operations. Dr. David Miller, a board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon who is in group practice with South Tulsa Cardiovascular Specialists and is the department chair for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at SouthCrest Hospital, is the only surgeon in Tulsa currently performing this complicated surgery.
